Dura-Line is searching for an experiencedMaterials Managerto join and operate out of ourSandersville and Tennille, Georgia Plants. The schedule will be aMonday-Friday 8am-5pmwith the ability to answer pressing logistical and materials questions after scheduled hours as this is a 24/7 facility.
You will be responsible for overseeing andmanaging daily operationssuch as scheduling, inventory, and shipping within the plant to maintain on-time deliveries of products to customers while minimizing inventory dollars and maximizing inventory accuracies. This will require a high level oforganization, excellentcommunication, and coordination skills in a safe and effective manner todrive continuous improvementand ensure processes are implemented and followed.
To help you succeed, you need to bring your proven logistics skills and knowledge in the manufacturing industry, a degree in logistics or supply chain management or equivalent relevant work experience and a proactive boots-on-the-ground mindset. You need to be experienced inMicrosoft productsandERP system (SAP), to completeMonthly Operation Reports (MOR), data management &a; integrity, prepare and report operationalKPIsandoversee inventory supply levelsfor continuous production. We need a proactive leader to ensure cycle counts are complete and accurate inventory level.
Day to Day
Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Effective &a; Open Communicationby maintaining an open-door policy and cultivating an engaged and efficient team. During daily GEMBA walks you will be able to coach your associates, lead &a; influence your team, and work with cross-functional departments to not only execute best practices but to also lead corrective actions and delegate tasks to appropriate associates.
  • Inventory Control &a; Managementwill be the foundation of your position. You will oversee and monitor the inventory &a; purchasing department, complete cycle counts, monitor stock levels &a; distribution supplies, work and build the relationships with vendors, and complete the necessary weekly and monthly operation reporting.
  • Drive Continuous Improvementwith your strong analytical and problem-solving skills within a Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing environment and can execute lean initiatives. Safety is always our number 1 priority and we are a collaborative team, so we need a quality candidate that can foster &a; balance quality, safety, morale, productivity, and cost to achieve positive results in all areas.
  • Teamwork Makes the Dream Work!You will be working daily with a skilled team within the plant as well as with a corporate team. You will be working closely and managing with the Shipping &a; Receiving Department for delivery tracking, logistical issues, receiving process management, and investigating root cause analysis.

We are looking for someone that has worked in production/shipping for at least 5-7yearsand grown into the role of a Materials Manager. Expertise in this field, will include implementing visualKanban systemfor raw material inventory, managing finished goods master schedule, initiating just-in-time programs, and coordinating purchasing and supplier activity with the productions schedule.You will beempoweredto bring your abilities and expertise todevelop key programs, influence and develop a team, and collaborate with other peers to execute best practices.
